Save a picture with One Click

Whenever I wanted to save a picture of something in my computer , (for example the picture of my desktop) I used to press print screen on my keyboard, open paint tool in windows xp ,then press CTRL + V on my keyboard and then save it

But I have a better option now – use Gadwin Systems Print Screen Software

This software has a very simple user interface and very easy to use.

Once we install it and whenever we press the print screen button on the keyboard, a window will automatically open which allows us to save that image with one mouse click

Once we select the location , it will automatically save the picture to that location. We can also send the captured image via email directly using this software.We can also save the image in different formats like jpeg,windows bitmap,gif,png,tiff bitmap,targa bitmap

Facebook Threatened For Hidding Account Details

Orkut and Facebook are two popular social bookmarking sites used.There is an option for both facebook and orkut users to delete their accounts if they dont want them any more.Facebook has made easier for its users to delete their accounts.and all the content associated with them by posting instructions on its user help page.

Facebook has already displayed its statement that it will not store any user related content in its servers and cannot produce the content if the users want to reactivate their accounts.They said that they will permanently remove the user content and their account once the user deactivates hi/her accounts.But a group of face book users had formed to support the need for an easy way to permanently delete profile information from the social network.

The administrator said
"Do I first have to go hunting for HOW to leave, and then explain WHY?"

Firefox Hacks\Tricks For Better Performance

Ok, its no secret..Firefox is my favorite browser.. infact, if you are not using it (for example using... Gasp, IE) you need to change. Well I decided to write an article on how to "hack" Firefox to make it even better. Using a few tweaks here and there, we can make FireFox considerably faster, enable advanced tab options, make newer versions compatible with older extentions, run directly from a flash disk, and on and on.
First, Lets change some hidden options to make it faster...
Open Firefox 1.0 and in the address bar type:
about:config

1. Find
browser.tabs.showSingleWindowModePrefs and double click on it so it = true
2. Find
network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true
3. Find
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click on it and change it from 4 to 100

What do these changes do?
1. Then enables advanced tab options in your Tools/Options page
2. This enables option #3.
3. This makes FF use 8 threads to each page.. Bascially, if you thought FF was fast before, try it after this.

Second, lets make it look better...
Visit the Mozilla Firefox theme page and select a theme that looks good to you.
I personally like the Noia eXtreme skin, but choose one that looks good to you.

Now lets make it work FOR us...
One of the sweetest thing about Firefox is the ability to use extentions. At the time of this writing, there are 226 extentions that we can use to make it better.. I will only touch on a few of them that I use. (Alphabetically Sorted)
Adblock: Remove inline ads.

Bookmarks Synchronizer: Save your bookmarks to an XML file, and sync with an FTP server. Keep your work/home bookmarks current!

Digger: Navigate to parent directories, switch to ftp equivalent of site, climb subdomains, etc.. Very helpful in "scouting" a site.

Download Sort: Automatically send downloads to specific folders based on file's extention.

Gmail Notifier: Lets you know if you have new gmail

Google Pagerank Status: Lets you see the Google PageRank of the page you are visiting.

refspoof: "Spoof" your referer.

Spiderzilla: Download an entire site to a local directory.

Super DragAndGo: Drag a link to blank space on a webpage, and it will open it in a new tab.

SwitchProxy: Manage and switch between multiple proxies. Make sure to read my article on finding and useing proxies.

User Agent Switcher: Switch the user agent of your browser.

MouseGestures:
This is the "Mouse Gestures" firefox extension. Basically, to go forward you draw a line from left to right while holding down the mouse button, to go back you draw a line from right to left while holding down, to close draw a L, to open a new page, from bottom to top - there are other options such as switch tabs, source, view cookies, etc.
I have personally found this to make my browsing experience much easier and much more reflexive (I don't think about pressing the back button, so much as automatically drawing it); when I use internet explorer oftentimes I right click by accident.

x: Gives a Toolbar "paranoia" button, click it and it can clear history, form info, saved passwords, download history, cookies, & cache.

Fasterfox: This extension automatically employs link prefetching, network tweaking, enhanced pop-up blocking, along with simultaneous connections, pipe-lining, enhanced caching, DNS caching, and initial paint delaying to make FireFox so fast it can break servers (or at least hurt them).

Firefox on a USB Thumbdrive
Check out the article on Portable Firefox 1.0

Tell Firefox what we want to see (and what we don't)
Sick of Google Ads on everyone's page? Well lets tell firefox that we don't want to see them anymore. This hack will remove 95% of all Ads, including google Ads. (Yes, even from Gmail. Warning, Removing these ads may violate the TOS of Gmail)

This hack uses the magic of CSS and a Firefox configuration file named UserContent.css. We are going to edit this file, I suggest you download the plugin ChomEdit to make your job easier. (Go install it now & come back after restart)

Ok, now that you have ChromEdit installed, open Firefox and click on Tools / Edit User files. A new window will appear that has five tabs across the top. Click on the tab that is labeled userContent.css. Next click on the link below and copy all the text. Then paste it into the userContent.css file, then click the Save button.
Code

Now restart your browser.. Tada, Google ads are gone!

From Digital Media Minute:

The above rules make use of the *!important* property value to override any rules that may already exist within the page that is being loaded. In the first rule, GMail has an element with an id of rh and we are setting the tables that have a class equal to metatable within that element, to not display (ie . display:none)
A word of caution, we are only hiding the ads from displaying. They are actually still there, just not visible. This means that Google is still indexing your email messages to provide you with “targetted ads”. It is also worth noting that as this hack is based upon creating CSS rules for existing GMail code, it is very possible that this hack will break as GMail continues to evolve.

Best Alternatives For Nero Cd\Dvd Burning Software

Nero is the best cd/dvd writing software acccording to me.There are some other different softwares which come to this category.

1. CDBurnerXP

This is by far the most popular free alternative to the expensive Nero Software. Works on Vista as well, and here’s a features-highlight from CDBurnerXP:

* Multi Language Interface
* Support for Blu Ray/HD DVD
* BIN > ISO converter included

2. InfraRecorder

This is the software that I currently use on my computer as a Nero alternative, and I must tell, it’s damn simple and straightforward. Has all that you might expect in a CD DVD Burning software like Nero. Some highlights from this Nero alternative include:

* Support for Multi-Session
* Very Light on Resources
* Support for not just ISO, but also BIN and CUE images
* Burning on Dual Layer DVDs is supported

3. DeepBurner (Free Edition)

Another good alternative. Available both as a regular and portable app. So if you want something you can carry around on your USB Flash Drive then check this one out.

* Supports both internal and external CD/DVD writers.
* Burn any data, copy any disc.
* Create multiple disk copies.
* Make ISO CDs.
* Print CD labels.

4. Ultimate CD/DVD Burner

This simple solution can serve all your basic CD burning needs. Similar to above Deepburner, there is a portable version. The only thing I don’t like about this one is interface, it reminds of Windows 95.

* CD Photo Albums creation
* Easy Backup CD creation
* Disk copying
* ISO Creation and Burning

5. Burn At Once

Burn At Once is another good CD/DVD Burning Application. It can copy discs on the fly and has the following unique features:

* Tagging of media by importing data from FreeDB
* Multi Language Support
* Drag and Drop Interface

However, it looks like support for this application is stagnant at the moment.

6. Burn Aware Free Edition

This relatively new software is creating waves, and it’s intuitive interface is attracting users. It’s very light on resources, and supports every other format that you can imagine (including Blu Ray). Burning is fast because this software burns data directly on to the medium, instead of waiting for ‘hard disk staging’

7. ImgBurn

Another software that’s worth mentioning here is ImgBurn. It’s a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application that can be installed both on Windows and Linux PCs. It’s probably the most extensive out of all. If you’re looking for something advanced and with lots of features ImgBurn seems like a good candidate.

Iphone -Dont Buy It,Build It

We might wish to build an iphone on our own,the simple answer for this is Yes.
Iphone is the coolest gadget ever in this decade.It has the pretty new interface and cool touch screen interface.If you are thinking to buy it , dont buy it ,try to build it.Well guess what you don’t have to wait in line to get those features, lets mod YOUR phone to emulate it!

For these instructions you will need a touchscreen phone running Windows Mobile 5 or 6. We will be using an HTC Mogul 6800 for our mod. Let it be known that you can also mod a Palm based device to look like an iPhone but in this article we will only be focusing on the WM based phones.

1) To add the iPhone look to your dial pad, you will need to find and install: iPhone_dialpad.cab

Here is a google search that can help you find it. I-Hacked members can download all required files from here.

2) Next in order to get the nice slide unlock feature, we are going to need to install the Slide2Unlock program. This is freeware and can be found here.

You will have to reboot once the slide2unlock has been installed.

3) Last but not least we will need to install the iPhone GUI. You will need to find a file called iPhone-0986.zip. I-Hacked members don't need to download this if you downloaded the pack above.

You will need to extract and drag and drop to a folder of your choice.

I used “\My Documents\iPhone”

Once installed on your pocket pc; Navigate to that folder and highlight “iPhone” and click menu ->edit->copy

Once you have the copy in memory navigate over to the startup folder “\Windows\StartUp”

This time select “Menu” Edit -> Paste Shortcut

You know have installed your iPhone skin on your Windows mobile phone.

You will need to configure some of the buttons by editing the "config.txt" file located in the iPhone folder that you copied to above (“\My Documents\iPhone”)

It is in the Following Format :

1. It first has the 16 icons paths as in \Icons\*.bmp
2. Then 16 Names for the icons
3. The then 16 application paths that will run for the apps as in \Windows\calendar.exe for example to launch the calendar

At the point where you have configured the buttons, your phone is pretty much iLike. If you would like to exit this interface, click on the battery.

The last couple things you might want to find would be the official iPhone ringer & maybe some extra icons for you to use. I-hacked members will find these in the iPhone Hacking Pack. (same pack as above)

Monitor, Check, Set you Internet Usage Limit – Net Meter

After using so many net monitoring softwares, I came to a conclusion about a good software used to monitor, check, set a limit for your internet usage.

This software is especially useful for internet/broadband users who have limited account for their internet like Bsnl Broadband users in India.Netmeter shows how much internet usage used totally for a specific month, net usage for a specific day, and also warns you when you have reached the limit which you have set. The net meter also warns when you are using the internet excessively.

You can set the limit for a specific month in megabytes and gigabytes as well. Once you have installed the software, the software icon will be set in the startup.

To set the limit , right click the option button you can see different options where you can set the net limit, the options may vary for different versions of this software

Try to use this software , If you have any problems regarding the versions and the options post a comment with your email addresses I will solve it..

Controversial and Useful Gmail

Web-based email is not new; perhaps gmail introduced some extra features to make gmail user-friendly. So managing our personal email has become very easy and the addition of some extra tools has made it easier.

1) Advertising :

Well first of all I want to discuss about the controversial advertising by Google in gmail. They say that Gmail gives privacy to its users, they don’t breach inside and look the data inside our personal gmail account. But the fact is that when we open our gmail accounts we can see ads displayed inside our account ,the thing I want to stress here is , the ads which we see are all content-related ads , that is the ads get displayed related to our content. So if they give privacy to our content how do they display content related ads. God help gmail users.

2) Archiving :

The next good feature that I like the most in gmail is its archiving tool.

Using archiving tool we can transfer our messages in our inbox to all mails, then again if we need the mail into our inbox we can restore it.

3) Label :

Label is a thing which is use to give a name to our messages or differentiate our messages. This tool will be especially helpful when there are lots of messages related to money, medicine, army etc., and then we differentiate all the mails by giving a label name to each message related to money or medicine or army. So when we click the label money – all the messages with label-named money will be displayed, similarly medicine and army.

4) Accessing the Messages:

Reading email from our gmail accounts is lot easier and faster which is an open fact. I would like to specify that gmail doesn’t encourage any graphics in it

because there will be lots of spam entering into our gmail, so Google helps us to prevent spam up to some extent
